Join us at one of San Diego’s most anticipated culinary events, Chef Throwdownon Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the world-renowned Hotel del Coronado hosted by Executive Chef James Montejano of Cardiff Seaside Market.
All proceeds raised at this event will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and its on-going mission to cure cystic fibrosis and provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives. The CFF funds more innovative, groundbreaking CF research than any other organization in the world and takes great pride in being one of the most effective non-profits of its kind.
The Hotel del Coronado’s expansive Windsor Lawn will provide the setting for this unforgettable gourmet gathering, where 30 of the best chefs from San Diego and Mexico will present signature hors d’oeuvres or desserts at individual stations. Judged by our ever-growing Culinary Council that includes such names as Andre Zotoff, Brian Malarkey, Claudia Sandoval, Jack Ford, Michele Parente, Sam The Cooking Guy, Serge Dedina, Tommy Gomes, Troy Johnson, Jason Hotchkiss, Michelle Lerach, Javier Plascencia and Lead Judge Richard Sandoval, chefs will also present their best bites with the goal of winning the Chef Flor Franco Award for Culinary Excellence, in addition to some incredible prizes, detailed below.
